The Birth
At about midnight Dar starting having behaving like she was in labor. She nested and was very restless most of the night, going out, coming in then into the whelping box. After a rough couple of hours, the 1st baby arrived at 8:30 in the morning. Dar was great and quickly cleared the baby's face, etc. I must admit in my role of midwife I also jumped in and rubbed the baby with a nice clean dry wash cloth.
The first thing they do is crawl to find a nipple and begin to suckle. OMG
They are sooooooo cute!!!
