I am taking deep sighs now. I try not to think about how empty the house will seem without all the puppies. It is already much quieter with 6 of Dar's puppies already moved on to their new homes and families. At times like this when I start to get sad at my loss, I focus on the happiness of their new families and the joy they have at their new family member.
I am lucky this year, I get to keep 2 of the puppies for 3 weeks longer. Sammy and Jimmy will be staying with us while their new families are gone for vacation.
Big wants very much to go in the puppy pen and play with them and help clean up their food too. But the moms are not OK with this.
